Vayu Dosha |
|
Each element makes up for certain body types, foods and health concerns, and leads the person towards having a healthy or weak body. Similarly, a person with an excess of air (Vayu dosha) will be thin and bony and suffers dry skin, cracking bones, gas and constipation. Fear, worry, anxiety and nervousness are some of the mental symptoms of having excess air in such persons. With balanced air, the same person might be creative, adaptable and comprise no physical health concerns. Ayurveda comes up with the list of items to increase or reduce air accordingly to get the desired result, and says that cooked or steamed foods, carrots, rice and eating every 3 or 4 hours diminishes excess air.
